The Call Tracking feature allows you to add and customize the widgets on your website to receive and track your calls while obtaining detailed analytics for further analysis.
To view, go to the Publisher Management > Promo Materials > Call Tracking section.
The first block of the “Call Tracking” section contains the tabs that correspond with the tabs of the “Call Tracking Summary” report, which you can also access in the Analytics and Optimization > Publisher Analytics > Call Tracking Summary section. To create a new tracking pool click the “Add New Tracking Pool” button. In the pop-up window fill in the following fields:
Name - the name of the tracking pool.
Product - select the product from the drop-down list.
Publisher - select the Publisher from the drop-down list.
To complete click the “Create” button. Note: once the tracking pool is created it can not be modified.
To assign phone numbers for tracking pools, select the tracking pool from the list and click the “Phone Number List” button in the “Actions” column. The Tracking Pool Phone Numbers list contains all of the phone numbers assigned to your tracking pool including their general information divided by columns:
Phone - phone number.
Shown At - the date and time the phone number was assigned to the tracking pool.
Release At - the date and time the phone number will become unassigned from the tracking pool.
Last Client ID - last client ID the phone number was attached to.
Actions - contains the “Remove” button.
To remove and to unassign the phone number from the tracking pool, select the phone number from the list and click the “Remove” in the “Actions” column.
To assign a new phone number to the tracking pool click the “Add Phone Number” button. In the pop-up window, select the available reserved phone number and click the “Add Phone” button. To narrow down the list of available numbers you may search by the “Phone Number” and “Last Updated” time filters. Read how to reserve the Phone Number for a Publisher in the Knowledge Base.
To configure the Tracking Pool settings, select the pool from the Call Tracking list and click the “Call Settings” button in the “Actions” column. In the pop-up window fill in the following fields:
Name - the name of the tracking pool.
Product - the product the tracking pool belongs to.
Greeting Audio File - allows you to choose the audio for the call greeting (if available).
Finishing Audio File - allows you to choose the audio for the end of the call (if available).
Routing method (Default (IVR) / Direct (Campaign) / Specific IVR) - the way the call will be directed.
Campaign/IVR - allows you to select the Campaign or IVR for directing the call.
Override Direct Call Ping Tree - allows you to prioritize the chosen ping-tree for the direct call.
Override Hot Transfer Ping Tree - allows you to prioritize the chosen ping-tree for the hot transfer.
To save the configuration click the “Update” button.
To customize the Tracking Pool Widget for the website, select the pool from the Call Tracking list and click the “Tracking Pool Widget” button in the “Actions” column. Each widget can be used only for a specific website and Google Analytics ID.
The “Main Settings” block allows you to configure the integration with Google Analytics. To configure fill in the following fields:
Google Analytics ID.
Google Analytics Category (ec). Transferred as the “Call” category by default.
Allowed Domains. You can fill in domains separated by comma or one per line. (Example: yourdomain.com)
The “Installation information” block contains the following data:
UUID - unique identification number. To copy click the “Copy UUID” number.
Widget Code - you may choose between the “Placeholder Mode” or “Element Mode”.
In the “Placeholder Mode”, you need to place a placeholder at any place of your website and add the provided script code to the end of the website page. To copy the script code click the “Copy Code” button.
For the “Element Mode”, you need to place a provided element at any place of your website’s page and add a provided script code at the end of the page. This way the “Call” button can be customized through CSS. To copy the script code click the “Copy Code” button.
The “Widget customization” block allows you to configure the way the widget button will be displayed. You have to customize the “Desktop view” and “Mobile view” tabs separately. Both of the tabs have the same set of settings:
View Type (“Call now” Button / Plain Text) - The “Plain Text” option replaces the placeholder with the phone number. The “Call now” Button” replaces the placeholder with the button - you get the phone number by clicking it.
Name of button - allows you to enter the text that will be displayed on the button. If the field is blank, it will display the phone number.
To confirm all of the modifications click the “Save” button.
