Goals customization allows you to evaluate the traffic to calls conversion for the majority of the Google Analytics reports. Having properly configured goals allows Analytics to provide you with critical information, such as the number of conversions and the conversion rate for your site.

To use the integration with Google Analytics you have to enable the Call Tracking feature first (Call Logic only). Read about the Call Tracking in the Knowledge Base.

To create a new Goal sign in to your Google Account and click the “Admin” tab at the top of the page and navigate to the desired view. In the “View” tab, click the “Goals” section.

Proceed by clicking the “+New Goal” button. In the pop-up window, select the “Custom” option in the “Goal setup” block and click the “Continue” button.

For the next “Goal description” block, select the “Event” type for the goal and click the “Continue” button to proceed.

The “Goal details” block allows you to fill in more detailed information about your goals. Your options may differ depending on the category of the calls you set up the Goals for.

You may set up the following goals:

  • All Calls

If you want to set up the Goal only for the sold calls, fill in the “call” value into the “Category” field. Or fill in the same value that you have entered into the “Google Analytics Category (ec)” field of the “Tracking Widget Settings” of your instance.

  • Sold calls

If you want to set up the Goal only for the sold calls, fill in the “call” value into the “Category” field. Or fill in the same value that you have entered into the “Google Analytics Category (ec)” field of the “Tracking Widget Settings” of your instance. Then fill in the “Sold” value into the “Action” field.

  • Reject calls

Click the “Save” button to complete.
