The Opt-Intel section in the Project Settings allows you to set up the system mailers access rights, notifications preference, how Opt-Outs are handled, and set the Opt-Out page style.

To view the Project settings go to the Project Settings > Opt-Intel section.

The “Main Settings” subtab contains the following settings:

  • Mailers Access:

    • Download Format: Select the “On” value of the “Plain Contact” switcher to allow the mailers to export the data in plain text format. This option is only available if contacts are stored in Plain&MD5 format. Select the “On” value of the “MD5 Encrypted” switcher to allow the mailers to export the data in the encrypted format.

    • List Cleansing: Select the “On” value of the “Allow to Upload of Out-In List” switcher to allow mailers to perform list cleansing.

    • Download Deltas: Select the “On” value of the “Allow Mailer to Download Deltas (changes)” switcher to allow mailers to download deltas.

  • Notifications:

    • Daily Complaints Stats: Select the “On” value of the “Daily Complaints Stats” switcher to receive the daily complaints statistics.

    • Non-Compliance Alerts: Select the number of days from the dropdown menu when the system will generate the first non-compliance alert if a mailer has not reviewed a campaign.

    • Non-Compliance Alerts Period: Set up the frequency of the non-compliance alerts. The system will generate the second and all subsequent alerts after a specified number of days of inactivity from the mailer. (Example: The Non-Compliance Alerts is set for ten days, and the Non-Compliance Alerts Period is set for five days. The alerts will be generated on the 10th day of inactivity from the mailer, then on the 15th, 20th, 25th, etc., until the mailer reviews the campaign).

    • Recipient List: Enter the list of email addresses (comma or space separated) that will receive notifications.

  • Other:

    • Allow MD5 Storage: Select the “On” value of the switcher to enable the MD5(encrypted) contacts storage format.

    • Unsubscribe Domain: Set up the system default unsubscribe-domain by selecting it from the drop-down list.

The “Handling Opt-Outs” subtab allows you to set up the Opt-Out’s page styling and handling types.

In the “Handling Opt-Out's” block, you can select the Handling Type and define how the system handles the opt-outs. Select one of the following options:

  • Redirect Users After Opt-Out: The system will redirect users to another page after the unsubscription

    • Your Return Page: Enter the URL of the page to which the system will redirect users.

    • Append the Opt-Out Email Address to the Return Page: Check the box, and the entered email will be added to the URL after unsubscribing for tracking purposes. (e.g., https://www.website.com/email=email@gmail.com).

  • Use Internal Opt-Out page - the system will use the internal opt-out page.

  • Opt-Outs are handled by a third party - if the third party holds the opt-out page, enter the URL for the opt-out page in the “Third Party Opt-Out page” field.

“Opt-Out Page Styling” block becomes available when the “Redirect users after opt-out” or “Use Internal Opt-Out page” handling type is selected.

On the “Landing Page” tab, you can change the landing page settings:

  • Landing Logo: Upload your logo by clicking the “Select File” button. The logo should not exceed 300 px height and 700 px width.

  • Page Title: Enter the Opt-Out page title.

  • Page Content: Enter the text you want to be displayed on the opt-out page (e.g., “Please, enter your email”). You can also input the HTML code in this field to change the appearance of the page.

The “Confirmation Page” tab allows you to set up the confirmation page after a successful unsubscribe:

  • Page Title: Enter the Confirmation page title.

  • Page Content: Enter the text you want to be displayed on the Confirmation page (e.g., “You have successfully unsubscribed”). You can also input the HTML code in this field to change the appearance of the page.

The “Settings” tab allows you to send an unsubscribe confirmation to an email that has unsubscribed.

Select Opt-Out Copy: Enable the “Select Opt-Out Copy” checkbox to send the copy of unsubscribe confirmation to an email that has unsubscribed.

URL (optionally): Enter the URL the system will use to post the email address that has unsubscribed, e.g. if you enter https://example.com/recieve-optout, after the opt-out the system will send the following response https://example.com/recieve-optout/?email=example@phonexa.com .

The “Privacy” tab allows you to specify the privacy policy:

  • Privacy Page, URL: Enter the URL of the Privacy Policy page.

  • Privacy Content: Enter the Privacy Policy text that will be displayed on the Unsubscribe page.

The “Styling” tab allows you to style the Unsubscribe page using the HTML code:

  • .header: Use the HTML code to edit the header of the Unsubscribe page.

  • .body: Use the HTML code to edit the body of the Unsubscribe page.

  • .footer: Use the HTML code to edit the footer of the Unsubscribe page.
