Setup: Import Contacts Via CSV
Please follow this guide to import your contacts so you can start segmenting lists and creating campaigns. The following steps need to be performed, in this particular order:
1. To import contacts go to the List Management > All Contacts section click the “Add new” button and choose “Import From CSV”.
2. Click the “Choose file” button to upload your CSV File. In the "Matching Mode" drop-down list, you can choose the option (Email or Phone) according to which the system will overwrite/update the contacts. For example, when the "Email" value in the “Matching mode” field is chosen, the system will compare data (zip code, last name, etc) assigned to the email address, and will overwrite/update it according to the latest ones. Please note, you need to select the "Overwrite existing contacts" checkbox to enable this option. Choose “Create New list” if you need to and name it in the “Contact List Name” field or tap the “Select Existing List” and choose the one you need in the drop-down list. Also, to properly import your contacts from the CSV file to the system, you need to fill in the specific column titles. You can click the “Download sample file” button to download the file where you can check the right columns’ titles.
3. Choose which CSV Field boxes to the left matches your data combo boxes to the right and click the “Import” button. Also, the boxes can be ignored (choose the “--IGNORE--” option) or customized (choose the “--CUSTOM--” option).
4. You will get a confirmation email once your contacts are successfully added.
You can add or delete the columns in the list. Also, this option helps you to check all the available fields. Click the “Select” button, you can find the available fields under it.
