Tracking Log

The Tracking Log report allows you to view all tracking rules in the system, assess their performance, manage access, and inspect the amount tracking logs.

To access the report, go to the System Management > Logs > Tracking Log section.

All Events

The “All Events” tab allows you to monitor the tracking performance and access the log of all the events triggered by the tracking rules in the whole system.

To narrow down the search results, use the following filters:

  • Date: Select the date range.
  • Host: Enter the name of the host.
  • Entity: Select the preferable entity (Call / CCPA Request / Click / Conversion / Lead / Edelivery Message / Notify / Unsubscribe / User). Note: Additional filters and columns will be applied depending on the selection.
  • Tracking: Select the scope the tracking rule is applied to.
  • Trigger: Select the event that triggers the action.
  • Action: Select the event tracking type.
  • Preset: Select the corresponding preset of the tracking rule.

The report contains the following information:

    • Date: The date and time the record was created in the system.
    • Entity: The ID of the entity selected via the filters section, such as Lead ID, Message ID, etc.
    • Host: The name of the host website.
    • Tracking: The scope the tracking rule is applied to.
    • Trigger: The event that triggered the action.
  • Action: The action applied to the rule.
  • Preset: The name of the event tracking rule template used for creating this event. Note: Read more about how to add Preset Tracking Rules in this Knowledge Base article.
  • Response status: The response received from the host.

To view a detailed log and response to the event, click the “Log” button in the “Action” column. Then confirm the action to view the sensitive data by clicking the “I confirm to get access” button.

Once confirmed, you can see the exact response to the triggered event.

LMS Events (Call Logic Events)

The “LMS Events” (“Call Logic Events”) tab allows you to view the list and tracking log of all the events specific to the selected components - LMS or Call Logic.

To narrow down the search results, use the following filters:

  • Date: Select the date range.
  • Host: Enter the name of the host.
  • Entity: Select the preferable entity (Lead / Call ).
  • Entity Value: Fill in the corresponding entity’s value (Lead ID / Call ID / User ID).
  • Tracking: Select the scope the tracking rule is applied to.
  • Trigger: Select the event that triggers the action.
  • Action: Select the event tracking type.
  • Preset: Select the corresponding preset of the tracking rule.
  • Product: Select the Product.
  • Publisher: Select the Publisher.
  • Buyer: Select the Buyer.

The report contains the following information:

  • Date: The date and time the record was created in the system.
  • Entity: The Lead ID.
  • Host: The name of the host website.
  • Tracking: The scope the tracking rule is applied to.
  • Trigger: The event that triggered the action.
  • Product: The name of the Product.
  • Publisher: The name of the Publisher.
  • Buyer: The name of the Buyer.
  • Campaign: The name of the Campaign.
  • Preset: The name of the corresponding preset used for the tracking rule.
  • Pingree: The name of the Ping Tree.
  • Action: The action applied to the rule.
  • Response status: The response received from the host.

To view a detailed log and response to the event, click the “Log” button in the “Action” column. Then confirm the action to view the sensitive data by clicking the “I confirm to get access” button.

Once confirmed, you can see the exact response to the triggered event.

Amount Tracking (Legacy)

The “Amount Tracking (Legacy)” tab allows you to view the amount tracking pings that are triggered when the predefined threshold for the amount on the Publisher’s balance is reached. Read more about the Amount Tracking feature in this Knowledge Base article.

You can narrow down the search results by using the following filters:

  • Date: Select the date range.
  • Tracking Type: This tab displays all events with the “Bucket” type by default.
  • Fire Action: Select the action that triggers the event.
  • Product: Select the Product.
  • Publisher Agent: Select the Publisher Agent.
  • Publisher: Select the Publisher.
  • Buyer Agent: Select the Buyer Agent.
  • Buyer Campaign: Select the Campaign.
  • Method: Select the posting method (POST / FORM)

The list contains the following information:

  • Created At: The date and time of the event.
  • Tracking Type: The type of the event. All of the records in this tab are indicated with the “Bucket” type which specifically corresponds to the Amount Tracking feature.
  • Fire Action: The action that was triggered by the event.
  • Product: The name of the Product.
  • Publisher: The name of the Publisher.
  • Buyer: The name of the Buyer.
  • Campaign: The name of the Campaign.
  • Method: The posting method (POST / FORM).
  • Url: The posting URL.
  • Response: Click the “Show” button to view the full response log.
  • Time: The processing time.

Test Runs

The “Test Runs” tab allows you to view logs about all test runs for the set tracking rules that were processed through the system by the particular user.

  • Date: Select the date range.
  • Host: Enter the name of the host.
  • Entity: Select the preferable entity (User).
  • Entity Value: Fill in the corresponding entity’s value.
  • Tracking: Select the scope the tracking rule is applied to.
  • Trigger: Select the event that triggers the action.
  • Action: Select the event tracking type.

The report contains the following information:

  • Date: The date and time the record was created in the system.
  • Entity: The Lead ID.
  • Host: The name of the host website.

Tracking Rules

The “Tracking Rules” tab allows you to view the list of all the set tracking rules in the system.

To narrow down the search results, use the following filters:

  • Tracking: Select the scope the rule is applied to.
  • Trigger: Select the event that triggers the action.
  • Action: Select the event tracking action.
  • Author: Select the user that set up the rule.
  • Status: Select the status of the rule (Active, Disabled).

The report contains the following information:

  • ID: The unique identification number of the record.
  • Tracking: The scope of the integration rule is applied to.
  • Trigger: The event that triggers the action.
  • Trigger Settings: The settings that are applied to the event tracking rule’s trigger.
  • Action: The action applied to the rule.
  • Action Settings: The settings applied to the event tracking rule’s action.
  • Status: The status of the rule.
  • Created At: The date and time the rule was created.
  • Author: The user that set up the rule.

To initiate the rule's manual test, click the “Test Run” button in the “Actions” column. Fill in the fields and click the “Confirm” button to start. Note: The list of the fields depends on the selected tracking rule.

To edit the tracking rule, click the “Config” button in the “Actions” column. Fill in the fields and click the “Save Rule” button to save changes. Note: The list of the fields depends on the selected tracking rule.

To delete the rule, click the “Delete” button in the “Actions” column. Enter the unique code to confirm the action and click the “Delete” button to continue.

Tracking Permissions

The “Tracking Permissions” tab allows you to limit the access to particular actions for a user or a group of users. All actions are permitted for all users by default.  Note: In case, the user belongs to different user groups, the system will check if any of the groups has permission for the action. The permission is granted when at least one group has access to the action.

The Tracking Permissions list contains the following information:

  • Step: The condition of the permission rule.
  • Entity: The parameter of the condition that the system checks.
  • Then: The action of the permission rule.

To add a new permission rule, click the “Add New Record” button and fill in the following fields:

  • Action/Trigger: Select the action or trigger of the tracking rule you want to set permission for.
  • Entity Type: Select the parameter of the condition that the system will check (All/User/Group/Employee).
  • User: Select users from the list to apply the rule. (If Entity Type “User” is selected)
  • Group: Select groups from the list to apply the rule. (If Entity Type “Group” is selected)
  • Entity Type: Select the option to apply the rule. (If Entity Type “Employee” is selected)
  • Then: Select the action for the permission (allow/forbid).

Click the “Add” button to complete the action.

To add a permission rule to the tracking action that is already in the Tracking Permissions list, click the “Add Rule” button. Select the entity and the permission action, and then click the “Add” button.

To edit the existing permission rule, click the “Config” button in the “Actions” column. Make the necessary changes and click the “Update” button.

To delete the permission rule from the list, click the “Delete” button in the “Actions” column. Enter the provided code and click “Delete” once again to confirm.
